The Avett Brothers are back with a new album, The Carpenter.  Check out their song Live and Die.

This week, on Tuesday, Dave Matthews Band has a new album being released.  I previewed the entire album, Away From the World, this weekend and am loving it.  My first impressions are that the sound is a bit more mellow then the previous album.  I look forward to having this on repeat :)

{Music Monday | My Morning Jacket}

This Thursday's Salt Lake Twilight concert features My Morning Jacket!  
I had the pleasure of seeing them in 2010 at the Mile High Festival and was one of the best live performances I've seen. Jim James has such a soothing voice.  

If you can, I highly recommend seeing this band live this week.  It will totally be worth it!

{Music Monday | The Avett Brothers}

Good Monday y'all! I am hoping to survive this week.  

It's gonna be madness at work and there are a few celebrations going on this next weekend.  

 I am also hoping to squeeze in a little fun by catching these guys 

in concert on Thursday at the Gallivan Center.  

They are so fantastic live and put on such a crowd pleasingly energetic show.  

Their songs make me feel happy.  Check them out and enjoy!

{Music Monday | The Head and the Heart}

So I downloaded the self titled album from The Head and the Heart this last week.  Honestly, I saw them open for Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds back in December of 2010.  
I liked their stuff but found their live performance a bit too...energetic?  Silly, I know.

I decided to give them another shot and glad that I did.  I am really digging the mellow folksy sound.  Especially this tune, Winter Song.
